Maria Montessori School has a
well maintained library. The library subscribes to all the leading newspapers,
magazines and journals. Reference books and materials for preparing for
competitive examinations like entrance examinations, Olympiads etc are
available for students. Students can avail the services of the library during
their designated Library periods. Entry to the library is restricted to the
students and school staff. The Library Rules are as follows:

Strict silence and order must be observed by all in the library.

Students must wear their uniforms and have their library cards to enter the
library.

Only a note-book and library book, if to be returned, can be taken into the
library.

Books can be borrowed for a fortnight and the period can be renewed if the
book is not in demand.

Reference books like dictionaries and Encyclopaedias are not to be taken out
of the library.

Before leaving the library every student must submit for scrutiny the books
borrowed.

All magazines, newspapers or books used while in the library must be put
back in the proper place after reading.

Students are not allowed to exchange the borrowed books among themselves.
Any such incident may result in the cancellation of the student’ library
card.

Books damaged or lost during the lending period must be compensated by the
borrower.

The Librarian may call for a borrowed book at any time even if the lending
period is not due.
